(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Nimbus Dance Works seeks two male dancers for immediate hire for the company and for Nimbus2. Dancers should have professional experience, excellent modern and ballet technique, and strong partnering skills. Dancers should be prepared to work at a high technical level; collaborate creatively; be a responsible group member; and work towards community impact through the arts.
Spring 2018 company contracts consist of approximately 20 weeks of work: January-June followed by additional 3-5 week summer period, late-June through early-August. Spring/summer 2018 schedule includes season at Brooklyn Academy of Music, touring to Vermont, Maine and throughout New Jersey. World premieres by Artistic Director Samuel Pott, new commissions by Darshan Singh Bhuller (former AD Phoenix Dance Theater) and Vernard Gilmore (lead dancer Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater).
All rehearsals, performances and teaching are paid at competitive rates. Dancers of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to audition.
Audition: Sunday, January 7th, 6:00pm-9:30pm (callback Monday, January 8th, 9:30am-12:30pm, if necessary)
Location: Gina Gibney Dance Center, 280 Broadway (enter on Chambers Street)

The company also does extensive community and educational work weaving together high level concert dance and community involvement.
