(UNION, NJ) -- Kean Theatre Conservatory presents The Misadventures of Romeo and Juliet with four performances online from March 5-7. Originally planned as a traditional, live production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, directed by international fight director, playwright, and director Rick Sordelet, the pandemic provided the Kean Theatre Conservatory with an opportunity to envision Romeo and Juliet in a whole new light!
Right before opening night, the cast and crew of a student directed production of Romeo and Juliet are informed that their live production has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the show must go on! The students scramble to stage Romeo and Juliet on Zoom with conflicting directorial choices, Zoom mishaps, and a quarreling cast and crew.
Performances are free, but registration is required. Performances are Friday, March 5 at 7:30pm; Saturday, March 6 at 1:00pm; Saturday, March 6 at 7:30pm; and Sunday, March 7 at 2:00pm. Click on the date you wish to register for the show.
A Q&A with members of the cast and creative team will follow each performance. Run Time: 70 Minutes plus Q&A.
