Jann Klose and The Voice's Josett Diaz To Perform At Ethical Brew To Benefit A Cause Close To Home

(TEANECK, NJ) -- On Saturday, December 8th, singer-songwriter and recording artist, Jann Klose will perform at Ethical Brew on behalf of Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center, a community arts and cultural center for children and teens located in Bronx, New York.  Doors open at 7:30, show begins at 8:00pm.

As a musician and songwriter with deep roots in the performing arts, as well as a current resident of The Bronx, it is easy to understand why Jann Klose decided to designate this noteworthy organization as the partner charity for his concert event in Teaneck  Prior to becoming an award-winning songwriter, he toured with several Broadway production companies, as a singer and actor in Jesus Christ Superstar, Jekyll & Hyde, and The Who’s Tommy.  He is also known as the voice of Tim Buckley in the popular film, “Greetings from Tim Buckley.”

Jann, an internationally touring musician, was raised in South Africa, Kenya, Germany and the U.S., and his powerful vocals and folk-pop sensibility have earned him loyal fans all over the globe. He currently has five CDs and two EPs to his credit including his latest album, “In Tandem” which was released in 2018. He frequently collaborates with other artists and has worked with with such legendary performers as Suzanne Vega, Annie Haslam (Renaissance), Pat Benatar, John Oates, Paula Cole, Pete Seeger, Gary Lucas and many others.

Opening for Mr. Klose, Josette Diaz is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from Cresskill, NJ who began writing songs at age seven and shortly thereafter, taught herself to play piano and guitar. Josette has performed at the Apollo Theater in New York City and was—most notably—a finalist on NBC’s popular talent show, The Voice (Season 16).

The proceeds from this concert will be shared with Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center.  Founded in 1978, the organization has been serving the community of the Northeast Bronx for over twenty-five years providing quality instruction in music, dance, theater, voice and martial arts to children and teens without regard to family income. Mind-Builders strives to build character and community through a shared appreciation of culture and the arts.
