Hoboken Arts To Hold Summer Art Show At Palette Artspace In Asbury Park

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- HobokenArts Online Gallery is kicking off summer with its second fine art exhibition of 2018, “Art in Asbury Park”, to be held from June 2 – July 8, 2018 at Palette ArtSpace, located at 716 Cookman Ave., Asbury Park,  in the downtown area known as “the arts block.” Starting June 1, all works being shown can be viewed and purchased online here at HobokenArts.com or at the exhibit space at Palette ArtSpace.

Palette ArtSpace in Asbury Park is not only the perfect spot to get away when the weather turns warm but has emerged as a hotbed for new alternative art with several galleries in the art row on Cookman Avenue where Palette ArtSpace shares with other notable galleries like Parlor Art Gallery, Exhibit 9, and Art 629. Furthermore, to get people into the spirit of summer its opening is in conjunction with Asbury Park’s First Saturdays, a monthly event where shops, restaurants, and galleries stay open late and celebrate with special sales and promotions—the downtown area really comes alive!

The HobokenArts™ in Asbury Park Art Exhibit showcases newly added work to the HobokenArts online gallery that exemplifies the feel of Asbury Park and summer at the Jersey shore. The artists participating are largely comprised of talent from Hudson County, New Jersey who have a connection with summertime excursions to the shore towns in New Jersey especially Asbury Park—a prominent one due to its diverse culture and proximity to Northern New Jersey and New York City. Artwork is in a myriad of styles and mediums. You will see vibrant colors and pop styles to reflect the summer amusement park vibe entrenched in the city’s history. From oil, acrylic, watercolor paintings to photography and mixed media works the artwork is as diverse as Asbury Park’s storied past. Artists include Robert Piersanti, Lorenzo Irico, Jay Boucher, Santiago Cohen, Cheryl Gross, Paul Leibow, Gloria Pacis, Alex Sobolta, Joe Epstein, Theda Sandiford, Bryant Small, and Phillip McConnell.

The opening reception will be in conjunction with Asbury Parks First Saturdays on June 2 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Stop by and meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments while viewing the latest works added to HobokenArts.com.

HobokenArts™ is an independent online arts gallery featuring curated original fine art, art prints, and products by artists and artisans—emerging and established—who have a connection with the greater Hudson County, New Jersey area. It’s mission is to promote artists in the community through the online gallery and popular social media outlets such as facebook, instagram, twitter, and pinterest. Furthermore, by promoting Hoboken, Jersey City, and the greater northeastern New Jersey area as a vibrant and viable arts hub integral to the New York City art scene by delivering pertinent information regarding visual arts happenings on its community blog and emailed directly to its newsletter subscribers, HobokenArts aims at capturing a larger non-tangible audience through the worldwide web. By providing these services and valuable resources HobokenArts is creating pathways to help connect collectors with thriving artists from the area as well as abroad.
