Across the Floor and Kids Breaking League present A Breakdancing Competition In Woodbridge

(WOODBRIDGE, NJ) -- Across the Floor and Kids Breaking League present "Breaking Ground I Kids Battle Jam" - a breakdancing competition on Sunday, February 4 from 10:00am to 1:00pm. The competition will take place at Across The Floor (97 Main Street) in Woodbridge and features matchups in the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced groups as well as a Main Event between The Mighty Geese and Three Little Birds.
Breakdancing, the 1980s dance phenomenon, has inspired a whole new generation. Kids who learn the art of breaking gain confidence to deal with personal issues and develop critical social skills. Located in Woodbridge, New Jersey, Across the Floor School of Dance & Gymnastics will host the first-ever, youth-only breakdancing competition in Middlesex County. Interested participants/groups may sign-up the day of the event. Prizes will be awarded to first place in multiple categories.
Judges include Ookie (Dirty Dozen, PA); J La Rok (NBK/ Ladies Adios, NJ); and Mike (Straight Outta Jersey, NJ). DJ Carlos (Souljerz, NJ) will be spinning during the event.
Admission is $10 to compete (individual or group), $5 to observe. Registration/Warm-up is at 10:00am. Battles begin at 10:30am.
10:30am – 11:30am B-Boy/B-Girl pool competition | 11:30am – 12:30pm Group (Crew vs Crew) competition | 12:30pm – 1:30pm 2x2 single-elimination dance off
There is a free parking lot and the venue is within walking distance of the Woodbridge New Jersey Transit Train Station.
