Dreamcatcher Presents A Very Special (Holiday) Special On December 2
(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Kick off the holiday season with the Dreamcatcher Company with their annual irreverent spoof of the holiday specials of yesteryear. If you enjoyed the corny fun of those old-fashioned holiday variety shows starring Donny and Marie, Perry Como and The Mandrell Sisters, you’ll love A Very Special (Holiday) Special at Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre on Saturday, December 2 at 8:00pm. Located at their home at the Oakes Center in Summit, Dreamcatcher takes a break from their mainstage schedule to perform their affectionate send-up of traditional holiday entertainment.
Wallerstein Foundation Funds Playwriting Residency for Senior Citizens at Canterbury Village in West Orange
(UNION, NJ) -- Premiere Stages, the professional theatre in residence at Kean University, has announced its second playwriting residency for senior citizens, graciously funded by the Wallerstein Foundation for Geriatric Life Improvement. Based in West Orange, the Wallerstein Foundation’s primary mission is to support qualifying not-for-profit organizations that assist elderly individuals to remain healthy, active and engaged and generally improve their quality of life. The seven-week residency, which began in early October at Canterbury Village in West Orange, will culminate in a public presentation on November 28. John J. Wooten, producing artistic director of Premiere Stages, leads the residency.
Broadway Stars To Perform at NiCori Studios & Productions' Winter Gala at Bloomfield College
(BLOOMFIELD, NJ) -- NiCori Studios & Productions will hold its Second Annual Winter Gala on Friday, December 1 at 7:00pm at the Westminster Arts Center at Bloomfield College. NiCori prides itself on allowing as many students to take classes regardless of financial means. The Winter Gala is a springboard to ensure that no student is turned away due to financial hardship.
Taylor Swift To Perform At MetLife Stadium
(EAST RUTHEFORD, NJ) -- The first round of dates for Taylor Swift’s reputation Stadium Tour have been announced with local dates at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on July 14, 2018 and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ on July 21, 2018. The tour officially kicks off on May 8, 2018 in Arizona.
Gary Numan Comes To White Eagle Hall
(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Gary Numan, the electro and Industrial music pioneer plays White Eagle Hall, December 5 at 8:00pm. Some three decades ago, many claim Numan changed the sound of popular music forever in an appearance on Saturday Night Live when he performed the breakout ‘new wave’ hit Cars and Praying To The Aliens to an audience of 40 million.
The Dixie Dregs To Perform In Newton
(NEWTON, NJ) -- The Dixie Dregs hit the road with their original line-up for the first time in forty years at The Newton Theatre on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 8:00pm. RVCC Chorale To Hold Annual Holiday Concert On Friday, December 1
(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The RVCC Chorale will give its annual holiday concert on Friday, December 1, at 8:00pm, in the Welpe Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College’s Branchburg campus. The program will feature Franz Josef Haydn’s Missa Brevis (St. Joannis de Deo) as well as works by Bach and a cappella pieces from the Renaissance by Thomas Morley, Antoine Busnois and Josquin des Prez. The program also will include an audience singalong of traditional carols.

World Class Israeli Violinist Tal First Comes to SOPAC as part of the Juilliard at; SOPAC Series
(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- Tal First is an Israeli violinist making his mark as a young virtuoso. SOPAC is proud to present this rising young musician on Sunday, December 3 at 3:00pm. Now studying at the famed Juilliard conservatory in New York, his many awards and achievements led to support from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, among others. The program will include Mozart’s Sonata in G Major, k. 301, Jan Friedlin’s Suite first part, Bloch’s Nigun, Kreisler’s Recitativo and Scherzo and Grieg’s Sonata in C minor, Op. 45. His accompanying pianist is Natalie Nedvetsky.
Jeff Lynne’s ELO Announces First North American Tour In Over 30 Years
On the heels of a once-in-a-lifetime Wembley Stadium show and a European tour in 2017, Jeff Lynne’s ELO announces its first North American tour in 30 plus years. Jeff Lynne’s last extensive U.S. tour with ELO was in 1981. Locally, the tour comes to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 and Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Friday, August 24, 2018.
New Jersey Ballet Presents "The Nutcracker" at Mayo Performing Arts Center
(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- New Jersey Ballet's seasonal presentation of the holiday classic Nutcracker comes to Mayo Performing Arts Center for 14 performances from Friday, December 8 to Christmas Eve. Tickets range from $29-69.
