NJPAC Presents "The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes" On December 3

(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) Presents The Princess Bride: An Inconceivable Evening with Cary Elwes on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 7:30pm. This is the ultimate event for fans of The Princess Bride. See the iconic film on the big screen, followed by a moderated conversation with actor Cary Elwes (the heroic Westley, of course!). Tickets range from $39-$59.

Elwes will discuss your favorite scenes, reveal never-before-shared secrets and tell tales of on-set antics. A limited number of VIP packages are available and include the best seats in the house, a meet and greet with Cary Elwes and a signed copy of his best-selling book, As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride. It’s sure to be a night you’ll always tweasure!

Despite a lackluster performance at the box office when the movie was first released in 1987, The Princess Bride has gone on to become one of the most quoted films of all time with a cult fanbase that now includes several generations of fans.  Cary Elwes, who starred as Westley, the film’s hero, has had fans utter famous lines from the film for decades, yet instead of driving him crazy, the fans just make him appreciate that role more and more.

New Jersey Stage spoke with Cary Elwes about his book and the show in 2015.  Click here for the feature article.
