Glenn Close and Andrew Lloyd Webber Attend "Unmasked" at Paper Mill Playhouse
 
(MILLBURN, NJ) -- On Saturday, February 22, legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber brought his good friend Glenn Close to see his new show at Paper Mill Playhouse, Unmasked: The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Following the performance, the two celebrities went backstage with Mark S. Hoebee (Paper Mill’s Producing Artistic Director) to meet and greet the cast, crew and orchestra.

Since 1789, there have been 1,984 U.S. Senators; only 57 have been women. As late as 1949, Margaret Chase Smith—a Maine Republican—became only the seventh female member; but she made enough of a splash to inspire Joe DiPietro’s new play, “Conscience,” which will have its world premiere at the George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick March 3 through March 29.

Although outside the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood, NJ this February 15, 2020 evening the temperature is freezing, inside the historic theater the stage is set for a concert of scorching Southern Rock starring The Allman Betts Band. Comprised of second generation members of The Allman Brothers Band — notably Gregg Allman’s son Devon Allman on vocals/guitar, Dickey Betts’ son Duane Betts on vocals/guitar, and Berry Oakley’s son Berry Duane Oakley Jr. on bass/vocals — The Allman Betts Band is making a name for itself as a top-notch recording ensemble and live performing band with a catalog of music which consists of creative originals and innovative covers of Allman Brothers Band material in addition to other rock classics.

REVIEW: The Tap Pack at MPAC

Who knew, that back in my childhood days when my parents signed me up for tap dance lessons with Henry LeTang and Phil Black, that I would have a lifelong obsession with tap? So when I heard that Australia’s The Tap Pack was coming to the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, NJ, I knew I had to secure a seat – and only because they are tap dancers. I’ve never heard of them previous to seeing their sizzle reel on YouTube.
