Black Box PAC presents a New Workshop Production of "ten x ten" by Neil Labute

(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Courtesy of acclaimed playwright Neil Labute, comes a new workshop production of ten x ten, live on stage! This immersive, intense, and hysterical experience continues Black Box PAC’s #SaveOurStages 2021-2022 Season, December 9-12 at 8:00pm.


MPAC Presents An Evening With Harry Connick, Jr. on February 2nd

(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents An Evening With Harry Connick, Jr. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 7:30pm. Harry Connick, Jr. has exemplified excellence across multiple platforms in the entertainment world – in music, film, television and Broadway – garnering Grammys, Emmys and Tony awards and nominations. But music and live performances remain the foundation of his art and he plans to perform songs from across his remarkable career. Tickets range from $79-$199.

RVCC Student Jazz Ensemble To Perform December 16th

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College’s (RVCC) Student Jazz Ensemble will perform in concert Thursday, December 16 at 7:30pm. The in-person performance will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus. The group is directed by John Loehrke of New York City. Masks are required in all RVCC facilities.

Cherish the Ladies Perform Their Celtic Christmas Program at William Paterson University on December 4

(WAYNE, NJ) -- Cherish the Ladies will perform as part of William Paterson University’s WP Presents series on Saturday, December 4 at 8:00pm in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on the campus in Wayne. Cherish the Ladies is a Grammy-nominated, Irish-American super group that formed in New York City in 1985 to celebrate the rise of women in what had been a male-dominated Irish music scene and has since toured the world, played the White House and the Olympics, recorded 17 outstanding albums including a live recording, “An Irish Homecoming,” which was simultaneously videotaped for a Public Television Special that aired across America and won an Emmy.


Lewis Center for the Arts presents Jersey Jokers

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Comedian and Princeton Arts Fellow Maysoon Zayid will host a night of comedy as students from her fall Princeton University course, “The Art of Standup,” take their final exam in front of a live audience. A night Zayid assures will be filled with unlimited laughs and hilarity will begin on Monday, December 6 at 7:00pm, presented in-person in the Wallace Theater at the Lewis Arts complex on the Princeton campus. The nine Princeton students performing are Harshini Abbaraju, Mohamed Alghondakly, Jeremy Bernius, Daniel Drake, Benjamin Graham, Jenni Lawson, Asher Muldoon, Rosemary Paulson, and Fernanda Romo Herrera Ibarrola.


The ShowRoom Cinema Screens "The Spine Of Night" On December 5th

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) --  The ShowRoom Cinema in Asbury Park will host a one night only screening of the not-for-children animated feature “The Spine of Night,” Sunday, December 5th at 7:30pm. Directed by Morgan Galen King and Philip Gelatt, this hand-drawn fantasy film follows a group of heroes from different eras and cultures who must band together to defeat an ancient, dark magic that has fallen into sinister hands.

Halle Berry's Directorial Debut "Bruised" was shot in New Jersey

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Atlantic City is prominently featured in the highly-anticipated sports drama Bruised, set to air on Netflix on November 24. The movie stars Oscar-winner Halle Berry and marks her directorial debut. It is a story about a former mixed-martial arts fighter struggling to regain custody of her son and rekindle her athletic career. Bruised was written by Michelle Rosenfarb, and produced by Basil Iwanyk, Brad Feinstein, Guymon Casady, Linda Gottlieb, Erica Lee, Gillian G. Hormel, Paris Kassidokosta-Latsis and Terry Douglas. 


Carolyn Dorfman Dance Adds Show on December 4th at the Madison Community Arts Center

(MADISON, NJ) -- Carolyn Dorfman Dance, a premiere modern dance company based in New Jersey and New York City, returns to in-person performances at the Madison Community Arts Center, 10 Kings Road, for two shows: Saturday and Sunday, December 4 and 5. A second show was added on Saturday, December 4 at 7:30pm because the show on Sunday, December 5 is sold out. Tickets for the limited space venue are $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for students. 

World-Renowned Ballerina Gillian Murphy to Appear in American Repertory Ballet's "The Nutcracker"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Celebrating a return to stages this holiday season, American Repertory Ballet (ARB) is has announced that world-renowned ballerina Gillian Murphy will appear as the Sugar Plum Fairy in ARB’s The Nutcracker. Ms. Murphy will perform on Saturday, November 27th at 7:30pm at the McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton.


Original and Traditional Holiday Poetry Highlight Warren Community College Event

(WASHINGTON TWP, NJ) --  Original and traditional holiday poetry highlight Warren Community College's next Visiting Authors Series event on Thursday, December 9. This online reading features Dr. Gretna Wilkinson and Sander Zulauf. The event, which begins at 7:30pm, can be accessed at this link. It is free and open to the public.


Book Talk at RVCC on December 3rd to Focus on Author’s Journey from Prison Cells to PhD

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College's chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society will present a book talk with Dr. Stanley Andrisse, a nationally recognized endocrinology scientist, Friday, December 3rd from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.​​​​​​​ The event, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be held in the Nash Theatre at the College's Branchburg campus. Masks are required in all RVCC facilities and social distancing will be observed.
