Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey Presents Shakespeare Live! In Florham Park and Holmdel

(FLORHAM PARK, NJ and HOLMDEL, NJ) --  The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) is excited to announce that there will be a number of opportunities for audiences to enjoy its renowned Shakespeare LIVE! company perform in-person at the end of April.  


Crossroads Theatre To Hold Annual Gala On May 20th In Honor Of The Life Of Cicely Tyson With Tributes and Performances

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- The artistry, excellence and advocacy of the late Cicely Tyson will be spotlighted at Crossroads Theatre Company’s annual fundraising gala A Night with Crossroads to be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 7:00pm.  Tony(R) Award winner Anika Noni Rose will be the Gala’s host. The “live” event, which has pivoted to a virtual platform in light of COVID 19, will feature tributes and performances. Global healthcare company Johnson & Johnson will receive Crossroads’ first Champion of the Arts Award for its support of the arts and Crossroads Theatre Company.


Trilogy Repertory Company To Hold Auditions for "Annie"

(BASKING RIDGE, NJ) -- Trilogy Repertory Company will hold auditions for the Bernards Township's Plays in the Park production of Annie. Auditions will take place on April 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19 at the Bernards Township Community Center, at 289 S. Maple Avenue in Basking Ridge, NJ. They are seeking cast members ages 10 and up.

RAM ON - A 50th Anniversary Celebration of Paul & Linda McCartney’s RAM - Out on May 14th

For the 50th anniversary of “Ram” by Paul & Linda McCartney, over 100 musicians have come together to celebrate this much-loved seminal album. With Sir Paul McCartney’s blessing, they have re-recorded all of the “Ram” songs to create “RAM ON: The 50th Anniversary Tribute to Paul & Linda McCartney’s RAM,” released on 14th May 2021 through Spirit of Unicorn Music (distributed by Cherry Red Records).


A Look At The Nobodies

During a visit to "The Brighton Bar" in Long Branch, NJ, in late March 2021, this young energetic band drew my interest. Founded in 2019, The Nobodies are an Asbury Park- based four-piece rock band made up of these four rockers: Vocals/Guitar: Tanner Grigoli; Lead Guitar: Andrew Warade; Drums: Jason Stern; Bass: Ben Jackson


Lump'N'Loaf Records Releases "The Lines That Divide Us" by Little Dipper

(HILLSBOROUGH, NJ) -- Lump’N’Loaf Records has released "The Lines That Divide Us," the third major release from Dunellen, New Jersey alternative rock band Little Dipper. The band was in the midst of working on a follow-up to their 2015 full-length album, The Last Broadcast, but as was the case for most of the world, 2020 did not go exactly as planned.


Brook Arts Center Presents We May Be Right On April 10th

(BOUND BROOK, NJ) -- The Brook Arts Center presents We May Be Right on Saturday, April 10th at 8:00pm.  Fronted by Karl Dietel (The Samples), this accomplished band of NJ/PA musicians takes great care to reproduce every nuance, every riff, every note of the songs they play to capture the spirit and integrity of the Billy Joel legacy.  Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.


Rick Barry Releases "Relics, Volume 1" on Bandcamp

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The four-track first installment of Rick Barry’s cover project Relics was released Friday, April 2, 2021 via Bandcamp. Featuring tracks originally performed by Joe Harvard, Dentist, Tara Dente, and Them Vibes, all sales of Relics will be donated to services which support mental health services.

SOPAC Presents Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company Online April 10th

(SOUTH ORANGE, NJ) -- The South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) presents the award-winning Nai-Ni Chen dance company in a 60-minute virtual presentation Saturday, April 10 at 7:30pm. Sponsored by the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, the The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company has received more than 20 awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and numerous Citations of Excellence and grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
