Robert J. Novins Planetarium To Premiere "World 2 War" On Veteran's Day

Robert J. Novins Planetarium To Premiere "World 2 War" On Veteran(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The Robert J. Novins Planetarium, located in the heart of Ocean County College, offers year ‘round programming to entertain and educate those of all ages. In November, in addition to its regular sky shows and laser shows, the Planetarium will also premiere the documentary World 2 War, paid for in part by a grant from the OCC Foundation. The film will be shown on November 11 – Veteran’s Day – and the following Saturday.

Active United States Military and eligible Veterans can receive 20% off any regularly priced show tickets. Discounted tickets must be purchased at the Planetarium Box Office, and a valid Common Access Card or Uniformed Services Privilege Identification Card must be shown. (May not be combined with other discounts.)

To purchase tickets, visit tickets.ocean.edu or call 732-255-0343. (Group discount may be available.)Tickets are available at the door but advance purchase is recommended as many shows sell out.

The planetarium is located on College Drive in Toms River, NJ.  Please park in Parking Lot #2.

Pull up a chair at the Planetarium’s Periodic Table and discover how the Big Bang cooked up everyday elements, such as the calcium in your teeth, the silicon in our smartphones, and even the carbon in our apple pies! Features Tom Lehrer’s “The Element Song.”

2:00 p.m. World 2 War Premiere: World 2 War is an action-packed full-dome film that combines cinematic battle scenes with informative overviews of the battlefield and historic reference from photos and videos. World 2 War is the first true full-dome full-length documentary about the second World War.
