Dreamcatcher Presents Broadway: The B Side at MONDO

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre presents the cabaret Broadway: The B Side on Friday, November 15 through Sunday, November 17 at MONDO in Summit. Broadway: The B Side is a cabaret of lesser-known gems from favorite Broadway musicals performed by Dreamcatcher’s singers and their guests.

The night includes old favorites from classic musicals like Fiddler on the Roof and The Sound of Music to newer musicals like Beauty and the Beast and Dear Evan Hansen, these songs might have unfamiliar titles but have an undeniable impact in this intimate setting.

Performers in the cabaret include Dreamcatcher company members Clark Carmichael, Harry Patrick Christian, Laura Ekstrand and Scott McGowan, who will be joined by guests Julian Blake Gordon and Vanessa Parvin. The singers will be accompanied by Eddie Guttman, a composer, musical director, accompanist and vocal coach who works extensively in the metropolitan area.

Broadway: The B Side will run on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16 at 8:00pm and Sunday, November 17 at 2:00pm. Tickets are $25. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged as seating is limited. Purchase tickets online or by calling Brown Paper Tickets at 1-800-838-3006. The performance will be held at MONDO, a cultural gathering located at 426 Springfield Avenue in Summit, New Jersey.

Dreamcatcher was founded in 1994 as a non-profit professional ensemble of actors who perform in each production along with other area artists. The mission of our ensemble is to build community with the audience by sharing contemporary, life-affirming stories that challenge, energize and entertain. We seek to expose theatregoers to ideas and lives like and unlike their own, to awaken their imaginations and create empathy for others. The company focuses on deepening the experience of our patrons by supplementing the performances with personal contact through receptions, talkbacks and interactive programs.

Dreamcatcher's core company of professional local actors performs contemporary work that entertains and challenges, and has at its heart a belief in the essential goodness of people. The company’s activities include mainstage productions, improv comedy and cabarets, new play readings and a variety of educational and senior outreach programs.

Dreamcatcher’s programs are funded by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, The Union County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs, The Summit Area Public Foundation, and many other corporations, foundations and individuals.  Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre is a senior member of the New Jersey Theatre Alliance.
