(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey and the Tony Award®-winning Crossroads Theatre Company present Common Ground – A Holiday Musical Celebration of Community on Sunday, December 16 at 3:00pm. Featuring star Shanice Williams from NBC's broadcast of The Wiz Live. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students, and $5 for children.

This unique concert collaboration between the State Theatre and Crossroads Theatre Company celebrates the holiday seasons in and around the month of December including Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Diwali. A holiday performance highlighting both song and dance, Common Ground features Shanice Williams from NBC's broadcast of The Wiz Live, plus local choirs and community organizations. The Common Ground lineup includesThe Youth Choir of Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, Abundant Youth Dance Troupe, JP Stevens South Asian Dance Troupe, Rutgers Liberated Gospel Choir, and The Body & Music School from Piscataway.
“Our goal is to provide families a meaningful multi-cultural celebration for people of all ages during this special time of year,” declares Crossroads’ producing artistic director Marshall Jones, III.
Music Director Jeanel LeBlanc is a graduate of Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. “This time of year is my favorite and we are pleased to share this joyous time of year with the community,” states LeBlanc, veteran performer of Off-Broadway. The show will be sprinkled with a healthy dose of audience participation andspecial guests—including New Brunswick Mayor Jim Cahill—adding a special touch of holiday cheer.
