WSTR and PVMNTS To Play NY/NJ Shows
originally published: 08/07/2018
(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- In October, WSTR and PVMNTS will head off on a US co-headlining tour with special guests Hold Close and PCL. The tour will include shows at Gramercy Theater in New York City on November 4th and House of Independents in Asbury Park on November 7th. Both bands have new albums coming out in August - WSTR with Identity Crisis (out August 31) and PVMNTS with Better Days (out August 17th).
In June, WSTR premiered "Bad To The Bone" on BBC Radio 1 and announced the band's signing to Hopeless Records. The second single from the new album is "Crisis." Speaking to the new record, vocalist Sammy Clifford expressed the band's desire to move further into the rock world, and channel bands such as The White Strips and Arctic Monkeys. "We've added all these different grenes into our sound while keeping the WSTR roots," Sammy explained. "We stopped trying to write a pop-punk record and wrote straight up big rock songs."
WSTR is Sammy Clifford (vocals), Alex Tobijanski (bass), Andy Makin (drums), and Tom Hawkes (guitar). Identity Crisis is the follow up to 2017's Red Green Or Inbetween.
Los Angeles-based pop-punk trio PVMNTS's debut EP, Better Days, will be out on August 17th. They recently released a video for "Chemical Trails" and have been making a splash both stateside and abroad with a headline UK tour, Slam Dunk Festival and Vans Warped Tour performances so far this year.
The upcoming co-headline tour will be the band's first full US Tour and the first opportunity for fans to hear tracks from their debut EP live. PVMNTS is Freddy Ramirez (vocals, guitar, bass), Tyler Posey (vocals, bass, guitar) and Nick Guzman (drums).
