Hudson Shakespeare Company Presents "All's Well That Ends Well"

(NEW JERSEY, NJ) -- The Hudson Shakespare Company is presenting All's Well That Ends Well in towns across the state.  Set in France and Italy, All's Well That Ends Well is a story of one-sided romance, based on a tale from Boccaccio's The Decameron. Helena (Noelle Fair), the orphaned daughter of a well known doctor, is under the protection of the widowed Countess of Rossillion (Sharon DeWitte Caccibaudo) after her father’s death. The production, directed by Jon Ciccarelli, has performances from July 17th in Fort Lee to August 2nd in Old Bridge. 


Makin Waves with Molly Rhythm

Molly Rhythm will be part of Makin Waves’ “Trenton Makes Takeover” of Asbury Park Brewery on July 14 with Hub City Stompers, The Cryptkeeper Five, Experiment 34 and Chalk & the Beige Americans. Pictured from left to right bassist Lori, drummer Zach, saxophonist Jeff, guitarist Bern, vocalist Nikki, vocalist Elissa and trombonist Erinn. On the eve of two great gigs on July 13 at the Warped Tour at BB&T Pavilion in Camden and July 14 at Makin Waves’ “Trenton Makes Takeover” of Asbury Park Brewery, that edgy, eclectic septet Molly Rhythm chat about their love music and hatred of ICE.

Sonic Blume will celebrate the release of their second record, “Beach Karma,” on MOTO Records on July 14 at Asbury Lanes. Also featured this week are “OneMore with Brian Erickson,” Lex Rex and The Dragons and Best Ex on the Warped Tour’s Shiragirl Stage, Queen City Film Festival, The Skullers and We May Be Right.

The Greatest Piano Men To Perform At NJPAC

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Experience the world premiere of The Greatest Piano Men– a tribute to the greatest piano icons in music history.   With an 8-piece band and 3 pianos on stage, The Greatest Piano Men celebrates the songs from Beethoven to Billy Joel (“Only The Good Die Young”), Elton John (“Rocket Man”), Stevie Wonder (“Superstition”), and Ray Charles (“Georgia On My Mind”) and many more; its solid rock ‘n roll classics from start to finish. The Greatest Piano Men will perform at the Victoria Theater at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) in Newark on August 15. 

Sea.Hear.Now Festival Announces Its Initial Lineup

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Sea.Hear.Now has announced its Lineup by Day, bringing Incubus, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Brandi Carlile, Blondie, Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls and more to North Beach Asbury Park and Bradley Park on Saturday, September 29  while Jack Johnson, Social Distortion, Milky Chance, Kaleo, The Front Bottoms, The Menzingers, Lettuce and more will close out the 2-Day festival on Sunday, September 30.  This will also be Jack Johnson's final performance for his 2018 World Tour.

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Awards 52 Performing Arts Organizations

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation has awarded $134,366 in grants supporting 52 performing arts engagements through its 2018-2019 Mid Atlantic Tours program. The grants, awarded directly to presenting organizations, will support engagements by the following artists at venues throughout the mid-Atlantic region. All engagements will include public performances and activities designed to foster greater appreciation for artists' work and offer meaningful exchanges between artists and the public. New Jersey arts organizations involved include Peak Performances at Montclair State University (Montclair), Rowan University (Glassboro), Monmouth University Center for the Arts (West Long Branch), William Paterson University of New Jersey (Wayne), Raritan Valley Community College (Branchburg), and Wayne Theatre Alliance.

Palette Gallery Presents "Summer Sauce"

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Palette Gallery presents “Summer Sauce” a series of group exhibits from artists around the country. The first contains work by Tracy Piper, Diana Jensen, and Shannon Rednour. The opening is Saturday, July 14 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm.


Newark City Council Approves Amazon HQ2 Incentives

(NEWARK, NJ) -- On July 11th, the Newark City Council passed enabling legislation authorizing up to two billion dollars previously announced as part of its campaign to bring Amazon’s second international headquarters to Newark. The ordinances illustrate the city’s commitment to bring Amazon to Newark, but also apply to any transformative project providing a similar number of jobs and investment.
