"Wicked" Broadway Star Directs "Into The Woods, Jr." In Hoboken(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Members of the Garden Street Children’s Musical Theater Company aged 7-15 have been rehearsing the production of Into The Woods, Jr. under the direction of Broadway star Anne Brummel whose credits include WICKED, Evita, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Funny Girl. Music Director Neal Tracy and choreographer Michael Williams (WICKED, On The Town) round out the creative team. The role of Jack will be played by Finn Douglas (House of Cards, Season 4 and 5).

Anne Brummel who played Elphaba in the Broadway show Wicked in 2011, is excited for the community to see to see this amazing show.   “This is an unbelievably talented group. I am excited for the Hoboken community to see what they can do. As a performer, being given the moment to shine on a Broadway stage was the best pay off ever for all the hard work I've put in throughout my career. These kids have worked extremely hard, and they will most certainly shine!”

Producer of the show and Garden Street School of Performing Arts owner is proud to have such an esteemed Broadway professional join in and direct her students. “This is the second year Anne Brummel has returned to be part of the Garden Street Family. Our students have recently won top awards at the prestigious Access Broadway Talent Competition and we will compete at Nationals in July. Our audiences will definitely feel the Broadway influence up on the stage.”

Performances will take place at Hoboken High School on June 11th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, and June 12th at 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and free for kids under 12. Seating is general admission. For tickets please call 201-683-9100 or email dance@gardenstreetmusic.com.

Garden Street Theater is home of the award winning Garden Street Children's Musical Theater Company which performs two musicals and competes at performing arts competitions.  Garden Street School of the Performance Arts in Hoboken, New Jersey, specializes in young children through professional adults.  Programs feature departments in dance, music, and theater, in addition to a contemporary recording studio, all under one roof.
