(TUCKERTON, NJ) -- The Lizzie Rose Music Room presents Travis Feaster featuring Doug Henthorn on Friday, May 18th at 7:30pm. Both are blues performers from Indiana. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
After spending several establishing himself as a pillar in the Indiana live music scene, Travis Feaster released his first full-length album Long Overdue in 2007. Shortly after releasing Long Overdue - Travis attracted international attention and started touring the UK.
Travis' sophomore release Wish You Well was released in 2010. Determined to make a better album than Long Overdue, Feaster set his sights on recording in Nashville, TN at Vibe 56 studios with Scott Velazco as producer. Wish You Well saw an all-cast of session players including: Greg Morrow on drums, Steve Mackey on bass, and Reese Wynans on keys. The albums second track "Mr. Maybe" reached number 2 on the Blues Radio charts.
Following 2 years of touring both the US and the UK, Travis was signed to Mystic Records (UK) in 2012 and shortly there after released his third album Juggling Dynamite.
The Indianapolis Star described Feaster as, "Stevie Ray Vaughan's fluid playing, Eric Clapton's pop-friendly songwriting, and Gregg Allman's rough-hewn voice."
Doug Henthorn has been changing the oil in a number of projects since founding and fronting the now disbanded blues-rock band Healing Sixes (2000-14). His newest release Cold Medicine (2016) is an impressive sample of crafty songwriting with more focus on voice and lyric than his previous H6's era. A singer, guitarist, songwriter, performer and producer-sometimes all at the same time.
Besides his current solo project and Healing Sixes, Doug has shared his voice and/or guitar skills with notables such as Joe Bonamassa, John Hiatt, Jason Bonham, and Beth Hart to name a few. Doug performs and records all over the US and abroad while maintaining his residence in central Indiana. He's currently working on the follow up CD to Cold Medicine and performs regularly.
