State Theatre Presents Jim Breuer

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents comedian Jim Breuer on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 8:00pm. With over 20 years of stand-up comedy experience, Breuer remains one of today’s top entertainers and continues to win over audiences with his off-the-wall humor and lovable personality. Tickets range from $35-$50.

Named one of Comedy Central's “100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time,” Breuer is one of the most recognizable comedians in the business, known for his charismatic stage antics, dead-on impressions, and family-friendly stand-up. In addition to keeping busy on his current comedy tour, Breuer can be heard on his weekly podcast “The Metal In Me” which is available for download on BlogTalkRadio and airs Thursdays 7:00pm-8:00pm on Opie Radio Sirius/XM.

After spending several years working in comedy clubs across the country, Breuer made his professional debut in New York with the Uptown Comedy Club, with whom he spent two seasons. He made an appearance on ABC’s Home Improvement before making his big break on NBC’s Saturday Night Live, where he worked for four years. Now, he has his own weekly Sirius/XM Radio show called Fridays with Breuer, which has guest starred figures including Jerry Seinfeld, Jeff Foxworthy, Dennis Leary, and Chris Rock.

Breuer has appeared in movies such as Zookeeper, Titan A.E, Beer LeagueHalf Baked (in which he co-starred alongside Dave Chappelle) and the more recent film Liv & Maddie. His television appearances include Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and The Howard Stern Show.

In 2008, Breuer hit the road with his father to embark on his “Breuniversity Tour.” Footage captured from the tour showed how a father-son relationship can evolve while on the road, and inspired the making of More Than Me, a documentary that captures the impact growing up has on maintaining relationships with loved ones. One year later, Comedy Central aired an hour-long special called Let’s Clear the Air, which detailed Breuer’s legendary SNL days and his personal life alongside his parents, wife, and three daughters.

In 2011, Breuer went on “The Anti-Social Network” tour with Dave Attell, Bill Burr, and Jim Norton, and released an autobiography called I’m Not High: (But I’ve Got a Lot of Crazy Stories about Life as a Goat Boy, a Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior). In the book, he lightheartedly and sentimentally discusses personal struggles and lessons he’s learned along his journey to fame.

In 2016, Breuer fulfilled one of his dreams as a heavy metal fan and released his own album, Songs From The Garage under the name, Jim Breuer and The Loud & Rowdy.

STATE THEATRE NEW JERSEY is located at 15 Livingston Avenue in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
