‘Songwriters on the Beach’ Returns July 7

(BELMAR, NJ) -- Brookdale Public Radio’s annual Songwriters on the Beach concert series will return to the Belmar boardwalk this summer with free weekly performances by acts such as Jeffrey Gaines, The Ballroom Thieves, Lee Harvey Osmond and Hollis Brown.

The open-air concert series, which pairs nationally recognized acts with local musicians and songwriters, will run from July 7 through Aug. 25. Concerts are held every Thursday night at 7:00pm on the Belmar boardwalk between 16th and 17th avenues. Note: due to construction, the series is being held in a different location than in recent years.

Featured local musicians include Hidden Cities, songwriter Dave Mooney, JT Makoviecki of the Jackson-based folk band Thomas Wesley Stern, Quincy Mumford and Cold Weather Company. For the full list of musicians and concert dates visit www.90.5thenight.org.
