(MT OLILVE, NJ) -- Skylands Songwriters Guild (SSG) hosts this monthly singer/songwriter Showcase & Open Mic gathering every 3rd Thursday of the month from 7:00pmpm - 9:30pm at Enzos Pizza, 382 US-46, Budd Lake, NJ. The evening focuses on original music where local and regional songwriters and music enthusiasts join together for a night of music and camaraderie! Open to the public - $5.00 cover with food and drinks available for purchase.
This month SSG presents Jenny Cat as the featured artist on Thursday, August 17, 2017. Ms. Cat, a powerful singer and lead guitarist, is the highly regarded frontwoman of Jenny & the Felines. She has two albums out: "Don't Look Back" (2013) and her latest release: "Don't Judge Me" (2017. The open mic segment kicks off the evening with sign-ups starting at 6:30 pm. Ms. Cats will then perform a short set of her original songs and share insight into her approach to the craft along with anecdotes of her artistic journey.
Skylands Songwriters Guild, based out of Ledgewood, NJ, is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization dedicated to cultivating the Singer-Songwriter community of Northwest New Jersey and surrounding region. Donations made to SSG are tax deductible.
