Second Show for Trevor Noah Added

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Due to popular demand, a second show for Trevor Noah has been added at NJPAC. Noah, the host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, makes his NJPAC debut with an evening of stand-up comedy on Friday, March 31.  In addition to the previously announced 8:00pm performance, a 10:00pm performance has been added.  Tickets range from $39 to $69.

Before he was introduced to U.S. audiences in 2014, when he took over for Jon Stewart as the host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Noah was already the most successful comedian in Africa. He extended his reach when he became the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on both The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman.

Since then, Noah has become one of the world’s brightest comic masterminds, thanks in part to his one-man Comedy Central special, Trevor Noah: Lost in Translation. Filmed at Washington, D.C.’s Lincoln Theatre, Lost in Translation brings Noah's unique world-view and global analysis of American culture to the forefront – with results that are as thoughtful as they are hilarious. In his material, Noah addresses major domestic and international events of the past year, sharing his outlook on terrorism, racial tensions in America – even what it was like being African and traveling into the U.S. during the Ebola crisis.

Last year also saw the publication of Noah’s New York Times bestseller, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, his compelling and hilarious memoir about coming-of-age during the twilight of apartheid and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed.

Noah’s stand-up performances have played to sold-out audiences at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, at the Sydney Opera House, and at other top venues around the world.
