(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- On March 1st, Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI) hosted a reception to celebrate Jersey City artist Robert Koch’s impressive hanging sculpture that is now being displayed in the atrium at Harborside, the Company’s premier, mixed-use asset in Jersey City. Koch, an award-winning artist and local resident, was selected from a diverse group of artists who submitted proposals for the atrium.
Koch’s sculpture features nine spheres suspended at varying lengths. The nine spheres signify the diverse cultures and ethnicities that exist across Jersey City, as well as the importance that the different subcultures have in creating a more dynamic community. The new hanging sculpture is part of Mack-Cali’s commitment to arts and culture in Jersey City.
Mack-Cali is currently engaged in a transformation and reimagination of Harborside, inspired by the complex’s industrial past. The transformed Harborside will feature high-end dining and shopping experiences in an open layout, with easy access to the Waterfront Esplanade and spectacular views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline.
The Harborside Atrium is located at 34 Exchange Place in Jersey City, NJ.
