(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble’s spring performance of iBALLI di PRIMAVERA! The Dances of the Spring returns to Montclair State University for its 50th Anniversary Season on May 11. This performance will feature talented pre-professional dancers from ages 8-18, and will include works by many renowned choreographers.
The list of choreographers include: Kate Skarpetowska who has created works for Lar Lubovitch Dance Company and Parsons Dance Company, Jean Emile formerly of Nederlands Dans Theater and Compania Nacional de Danza and created work for Ballet Hispanico, Elizabeth Koeppen-Kalosieh formerly Parsons Dance and currently NJDTE Faculty, Fabrice Lamego based in France formerly of Elisa Monte Dance Company, Iyun Ashani Harrison, Artistic Director and Founder of ASHANI DANCES, and Nancy Turano, NJDTE Artistic Director, NJSCA Fellow and Governor Award Winner.
“The choreographers that work with NJDTE dancers are renowned artists in the field, who create a professional setting giving our dancers a cutting-edge experience preparing them for the reality they will encounter as professionals,” says Nancy Turano, NJDTE Artistic Director.
NJDTE performs choreographic masterworks and provides professional repertoire for pre-professional dancers. The school of NJDTE is a platform for some of New Jersey’s most talented dancers who train with some of the most acclaimed artists in classical ballet, modern, and contemporary dance and become leading professionals in the field.
