Live at the Fillmore To Bring Allman Brothers Songs To Newton

(NEWTON, NJ) -- Live at the Fillmore, The Definitive Tribute to the Original Allman Brothers Band is coming to The Newton Theatre on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 8:00pm. The band was founded on the idea that, (as Greg Allman was quoted as saying), The Allman Brothers weren’t a jam band - but "a band that jams". Tickets range from $29 to $44.

Fans who had the good fortune to experience the Allman Brothers shows ‘back in the day’ know that though they did leave room for improvisation and personal expression, for the most part the songs remained the same. This has continued to be Live at The Fillmore’s approach to performing their music. Comprised of highly talented, seasoned and committed musicians, Live at The Fillmore authentically brings back the performances of the original Allman Brothers Band for those who were there, and for those who have a similar love of the music and wish they had been there to experience it.

Hailed by critics and audiences as the best Allman Brothers tribute around, Live At The Filmore is the continuation of the band members’ devotion to performing the music of the original Allman Brothers Band as it was performed in those early years before the untimely deaths of Duane Allman and Berry Oakley and the departure of Dickey Betts.

Tickets are available at www.thenewtontheatre.com or by contacting the Box Office at 973-383-3700.

The historic Newton Theatre, located at 234 Spring Street in Newton, NJ, was founded in 1924. Revitalized and fully renovated, Sussex County’s premier entertainment venue reopened in 2011 as a 605 seat capacity live performing arts center. With it’s rich history and diverse programming The Newton Theatre is essential to the buoyancy of New Jersey’s Skylands region.
