(OCEAN GROVE, NJ) -- La Strada Ensemble Theater presents Crazy Love: A Festival of Passion (Part I), seven one act plays beginning Friday, January 20 at Jersey Shore Art Center in Ocean Grove, NJ. The festival includes plays by A.J. Ciccotelli, Jennifer L. DiOrio, Mike Sockol, Curtis Scott Dunn, Doug Bollinger, William Mastrosimone, and Jakob Walsh Tickets are $18/$15 for students & senior citizens and can be purchased online.
- Valentino’s Muse by artistic director and local NJ Toms River resident A.J. Ciccotelli - A wannabe poet from Queens NY who must choose to either succumb to his muse's seduction or find a job at his blue-collar father's demands.
- Butterfly Master by local NJ Somerset resident and founding member Jennifer L. DiOrio - A physicist shares his passion for tai chi because the world denies people comfort.
- Savant by local Holmdel resident and founding member Mike Sockol - A man waiting to board a flight to Chicago adopts an unusual approach to seduce a fellow passenger.
- The Things We Do For Love by Pittsburg and founding member Curtis Scott Dunn - In a time when real people are disposable and human behavior can be programmed, a woman erases her self to become the mate of a man she would never love. Another desires her, but cannot have her without destroying her. When all reality is manipulation, how far will one go for love?
- 2+1 by local Neptune resident and founding member Doug Bollinger - A spring cleanup discovery leads a happy couple to explore their boundaries.
- 5 Minutes by William Mastrosimone - A dying man with only a five minutes time limit to talk to his friend for the last time makes him an offer he can't refuse, his wife.
- Dying to Live by local New Egypt playwright and Ensemble Member Jakob Walsh - A depressed college student in an emotionally abusive relationship may just find a new friend in the hit man he hired to kill him.
Productions feature Voltaire Balderrama, Doug Bollinger, Darin Frank Earl II, Javier Fuentes, Kevin Gabel, Marilyn Gribben, Eric Hackler, Bethany Harding, Bailey Henderson, Donna Knowlton, Nathan Magno, Leslie Sanchez and Jakob Walsh. Plays are directed by Doug Bollinger, A.J. Ciccotelli, Sarah Osman, Jakob Walsh and Gary C. Walter.
