The State Theatre in New Brunswick and BergenPAC in Englewood both canceled performances scheduled by comedian Kathy Griffin on June 1st. The performances, scheduled for November, were canceled after evaluations by the venues following Griffin's photo shoot with the president's severed head - photos that were almost universally condemned.
"After careful consideration of recent events and for the safety of our patrons, Kathy Griffin’s November 3rd performance has been canceled," was the message on the State Theatre website on June 1st. BergenPAC tweeted "After very careful consideration, bergenPAC has decided to no longer move forward with the scheduled performance of Kathy Griffin on 11/4/17."
All Kathy Griffin ticket buyers for the State Theatre show will be issued a full refund. If you purchased your tickets on Ticketmaster please call 800-745-3000. If you purchased your tickets through another party, please contact them directly.
BergenPAC has removed its page for the Kathy Griffin show. According to the venue's FAQ page, "When a performance is cancelled, refunds will be issued at the original point of purchase."
