Jim Breuer To Hold Residency at BergenPAC

originally published: 02/14/2019

Jim Breuer To Hold Residency at BergenPAC(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- New Jersey’s own Jim Breuer will be the first ever comedy residency at Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC). The Jim Breuer Residency at bergenPAC – Comedy, Stories and More begins April 12 with the second performance on June 29. Two more dates will be announced this Spring. Each show will be different as Breuer entertains audiences with new stories and jokes.

Breuer is no stranger to bergenPAC, as he’s performed to packed crowds there throughout the years. He announced the residency with a special appearance at El Tango Argentina Grill in Englewood, next door to theater, before taking a walkthrough his new base for 2019.

“I’ve been selling out New Jersey shows for over 20 years! Now I have the opportunity to call Bergen my home for shows!” Breuer said. “I’m honored for this opportunity.”

Breuer came to national attention during his years on “Saturday Night Live” and the cult classic film “Half Baked” with Dave Chappelle. Today, he can be seen on tour with Metallica as part of their World Wired Tour in North America, in addition to performing his own shows to sold out crowds across the country. Breuer can also be heard on his popular show “The Jim Breuer Podcast.”

For the last few years, Breuer has shared his dual passions for comedy and baseball through his Facebook video recaps of games. Their viral impact has been massive, with clips being featured on MLB Network and ESPN SportsCenter among others.

Breuer aficionados know that family is everything to him, and his mission is to share the highs and lows, find the humor in the day to day, laughing with the triumphs and tragedies and using comedy as a tool to conquer fear – as he did when posting videos of his wife going through cancer treatments the past few years.

bergenPAC is located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey.
