(NEW YORK, NY) -- The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced the special guests who will induct this year's class. The Ceremony will once again exclusively premiere on HBO on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 8:00pm and will honor this year’s inductees: The Cure, Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music, and The Zombies.
"The Bruce Springsteen Archives" To Be Screened At Asbury Park Music & Film Festival
(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The Asbury Park Music & Film Festival (APMFF) and the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University will present The Bruce Springsteen Archives at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, April 27 at 4:00pm. Thom Zimny, long time film director and archivist for Bruce Springsteen, will present an exclusive screening of rare and never before seen footage of Springsteen from the Thrill Hill Vault spanning from his early years to recent tour highlights. Following the screening, a panel discussion and Q&A will take place moderated by Backstreets editor, Chris Phillips.
Inside Newark Culture Con 2019
(NEWARK, NJ) -- On Saturday, April 27, 2019, the second edition of the groundbreaking Newark Culture Con (NCC) will take place at Express Newark in the historic Hahne & Co. Building at 54 Halsey Street in Newark, New Jersey as a featured event of Rutgers University-Newark's annual Rutgers Day. NCC is an all day event spanning from 9:00am until 8:00pm. Admission, demos, contests, workshops, panel discussions, and parking are free for all attendees.
D&R Greenway Land Trust Hosts Trails-to-Table Walk In Bordentown
(PRINCETON, NJ) -- D&R Greenway Land Trust invites the public to celebrate its 30th year of preservation with a unique Trails-to-Table series of monthly guided walks and meals at local restaurants that support D&R Greenway’s preservation mission. The free inaugural walk takes place at Point Breeze, former Bordentown estate of Joseph Bonaparte, on April 27 from 10:00am to noon and features three experts on the site’s dramatic history. Sagas and legendary artifacts from the Bonaparte era will be shared by Richard Veit, Ph.D., Chair of the Department of History and Anthropology at Monmouth University; Peter Tucci, Esq., world-class collector of Joseph Bonaparte letters, maps and artifacts; and Doug Kiovsky, co-president of Bordentown Historical Society.
Plainfield Symphony Orchestra Presents Pianist Robert Taub in Rare U.S. Appearance
(PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- The Plainfield Symphony Orchestra welcomes internationally acclaimed pianist Robert Taub back for a return performance at the final concert of the 99th season on Saturday, April 27 at 7:00pm. Under the baton of Maestro Charles Prince, Taub and the Plainfield Symphony will offer Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 in D Minor, K. 466 and Alexander Scriabin’s Symphony No. 5, “Prometheus: The Poem of Fire”, Op.60. The concert takes place at Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church (716 Watchung Avenue) in Plainfield, NJ. Admission is $65 reserved seating/$45 general admission / $30 seniors & students
