(HAMMONTON, NJ) -- Eagle Theatre will kick off the new year with Louisa May Alcott’s universal coming of age story, Little Women: The Musical from January 24 - February 25, 2018. Based on the classic novel, this Civil War story of love and family stands the test of time. The captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope and everlasting love. Little Women embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteed to provide an experience filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit.
Eagle Theatre Co-Artistic Director, Ted Wioncek III states, “Little Women: The Musical will be our finest production to date. The musical features a Book by Allan Knee, Lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and Music by Jason Howland. Eagle's production is Directed by Ted Wioncek III with Music Direction by Jason Neri.
On May 13th PBS will debut their 3-part adaptation of Alcott’s classic. Dozens of live theatrical performances and feature films have tried their hand at the 1869 semi-autobiographical novel, including Colombia Pictures’ 1994 family drama, staring Winona Ryder, Susan Sarandon, Christian Bale, Claire Danes, and Kirsten Dunst. However, Eagle Theatre believes their production truly embodies the spirit and grace of Alcott’s literary masterpiece like none other before.

Eagle Theatre originally opened its doors in 1914 as a silent movie theatre. The theatre was restored in 2009 to serve as a performing arts center. Since the reopening, Eagle Theatre has quickly grown into a nationally recognized non-profit producing organization.
