One of the Jersey Shore's top buzz bands, Deal Casino, has released a new three-song EP titled Human Cannonball.  Of the title track, the band says "We've noticed that as a band we've been asking shamelessly for your attention. So, I guess it's about us. Or it's about the circus.”

The band, comprised of Joe P., Jon Rodney, Jozii, and Chris Donofrio, relies on a minimalist approach to create a highly infectious sound, with elements of alt-rock, pop and blues. Drawing from influences like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Tame Impala and LCD Soundsystem. Since their inception, Deal Casino has been writing and recording, as well as playing relentlessly in and around New Jersey, with a residency on the boardwalk during the summer and downtown during the winter.

“It's been a conscious decision to take a minimalist approach,” said Joe P. “So much of the music that we love is a performance that was recorded by a band playing together simultaneously in a studio. We wanted to challenge ourselves to do this and not add any additional layers that we can't play live. It forced us to take away what wasn't necessary and to listen differently. “The commitment to work hard has inspired us to go deeper. When anyone in the band writes, it pushes the others to write more often. And, seeing how our idols lived and worked has been inspiring and makes us more aware of what it takes to get to the next level.”
