(PITMAN, NJ) -- Ben Vereen is bringing his one man show, Steppin' Out with Ben Vereen, to the Broadway Theatre of Pitman on August 12, 2017 for two shows incredible shows at 2:00pm and 8:00pm. It's a show of song and dance, filled with entertainment, laughter, stories and inspiration. Tickets are $40.
Few entertainers today are as accomplished or versatile as Ben Vereen. His legendary performances on stage, screen and television continue to inspire and influence artists of all ages. On the Broadway stage, Ben Vereen has starred in Wicked, Fosse, I'm Not Rappaport, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, Grind, Jelly's Last Jam and A Christmas Carol. His role in Pippin garnered him both the prestigious Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for "Best Actor in a Musical."
Ben Vereen has also starred in a number of notable television shows. Most recently, Ben Vereen played the role of Porter in the American crime drama series, Sneaky Pete on Amazon which has just been renewed for its second season. Other memorable television roles include Chicken George in ROOTS and Louis Armstrong in Louis Armstrong - Chicago Style. His television special Ben Vereen: His Roots, received 7 Emmy Awards.
Ben Vereen has been dazzling audiences throughout the United States with his one man show, Steppin' Out with Ben Vereen. “I call it my Gratitude Show,” said Vereen, who survived a 1992 accident in which he was struck by a car and severely injured while walking along a road near his home in Malibu, California. “I use it to thank audiences for sticking with me all these years.”
