Barn Theatre Of Montville Presents "Proof" by David Auburn

Barn Theatre Of Montville Presents "Proof" by David Auburn(MONTVILLE, NJ) -- On the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday, Catherine, a troubled young woman, has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire; and the attentions of Hal, a former student of her fathers who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind. Over the long weekend that follows, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into the most difficult problem of all: How much of her father's madness -- or genius -- will she inherit?

That's the story behind Proof by David Auburn, which won the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and Tony Award for Best Play. The Barn Theatre of Montville, New Jersey will be presenting Proof on January 13, 21, 27, 28, February 3 & 4 at 8pm; and on January 14, 15, 22 & 29 at 2pm. Tickets are $20 (senior/student tickets are $18 on matinees only).

The cast features Dominick DeNucci as Hal, Michael King as Robert, Jessica Phelan as Claire and Katie Sondermeyer as Catherine.
