Paper Mill Playhouse Reimagines 2020-21 Season

(MILLBURN, NJ) -- Paper Mill Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee and Managing Director Michael Stotts have announced the reimagined 2020–2021 season. Paper Mill Playhouse will move forward with a mostly digital season, including several original productions to be captured on the Paper Mill stage and optimistically anticipating bringing smaller audiences back to the theater if that becomes possible by late spring or early summer of 2021.


Premiere Stages Announces Cast Of "Fannie Lou Hamer, Speak On It!"

(UNION, NJ) -- Broadway’s Rema Webb will star as Fannie Lou Hamer and Kena Anae has been cast as Music Man in Premiere Stages production of Cheryl L. West’s Fannie Lou Hamer, Speak On It!. The outdoor production, directed by Marshall Jones III will take place at the outdoor tent at Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University in Union, New Jersey, October 15-18, 2020.


Cape May Stage Presents A Fall To Remember Virtual Broadway Series

(CAPE MAY, NJ) -- With Regional and Broadway Theaters taking an unexpected intermission, Cape May Stage has pivoted to ensure the spirit of Broadway theater continues to bring joy and love for theater by bringing Broadway directly to you. They have taken this new opportunity to bring Broadway to people all around the world – from fans who have seen every show and to those who have never been able to. The Montclair Orchestra Announces Fall Season

(MONTCLAIR, NJ) -- The Montclair Orchestra officially announced its fall season with plans to broadcast concerts from SOPAC in October and the Van Vleck House & Gardens in November, as well as the expansion of their children’s music series, Your-Rhythmics, geared for children aged 3-7. Classes will run throughout October and November. All concerts and programs will be available for virtual viewing.  


Robert Eberle Releases "Why Did I Lose a Friend"

(LONG ISLAND, NY) -- Young New York based Singer/Songwriter Robert Eberle released his new single “Why Did I Lose a Friend” to Spotify and all the major services, on September 30, 2020. Written and engineered by the artist, with backing track help from Denz Beatz and the mixing and mastering magic by Colton Lava, the song chronicles the harrowing details of a long time connection soured, and of the made up tale that ended their childhood bond forever.

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Voting is a vital responsibility for citizens of a democracy like ours — and it took years of struggle to win the right to vote for all Americans, regardless of race or gender. So why do so few of us use our vote? In New Jersey, fewer than 70% of us vote during a presidential election. Only half of us vote in midterm elections — and the voter participation rate in some counties is lower still.

Mignolo Dance Presents Premiere Of Manifested Destiny With Drive-In Performance

(METUCHEN, NJ) -- Mignolo Dance presents the premiere of Manifested Destiny with a drive-in performance at the Pearl Street Parking Deck in Metuchen on November 14-15 at 7:00pm. Manifested Destiny is Charly and Eriel Santagado's first evening length dance work, and features literature by 13 diverse American authors.

Visual Arts Center of New Jersey Presents The Adjacent Possible

(SUMMIT, NJ) -- Later this fall, the public will have the opportunity to join the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey (VACNJ) for The Adjacent Possible, a virtual experience that mixes music, improvisational performance, storytelling, and technology. The project, which was conceived by artist Joshua-Michele Ross and brought to life through a partnership with Adam Brick and Adam Lucas, originally began as a series of physical performances but was forced to go virtual with the onset of COVID-19.

New Jersey Hall of Fame Announces Unsung Heroes for 2020

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Each year, the New Jersey Hall of Fame honors local heroes not typically recognized for their work through the Unsung Hero award. This year’s winners are prominent community leader Bill Lavin and the crew of the Battleship New Jersey, both of which will be inducted as part of the Hall’s 12th Annual Induction Ceremony on Sunday, October 18 at 7:00pm. The ceremony can be viewed on Facebook or by tuning into MY9 or NJTV.
