Centenary Stage Company's Summer Musical Theatre Series Presents "Jesus Christ Superstar"

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) --Centenary Stage Company’s second annual Summer Musical Theatre Series continues August 1 through 11 with Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice’s iconic rock musical, Jesus Christ Superstar.  The first musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice to be produced for the professional stage, Jesus Christ Superstar has wowed audiences for over 40 years. A timeless work, the rock opera is set against the backdrop of an extraordinary and universally-known series of events but seen, unusually, through the eyes of Judas Iscariot.

Princeton Summer Theater Presents "A Midsummer Night's Dream"

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- When Princeton University graduate and Yale MFA candidate Maeli Goren was rereading A Midsummer Night’s Dream earlier this year, a piece of text stood out to her that never had before: a speech by Titania, the queen of the fairies, in which she speaks of “[t]he spring, the summer, / The childing autumn, angry winter change/ Their wonted liveries, and the mazèd world, / By their increase, now knows not which is which”—in other words, a world plunged into chaos by a changing climate. Suddenly, one of Shakespeare’s most-produced plays had become unusually timely.

Arlan Feiles To Pay Tribute To Civil Rights Martyr Viola Gregg Liuzzo

(MATAWAN, NJ) -- New Jersey based recording Artist, music producer and activist Arlan Feiles is travelling to Detroit, Michigan to perform his award winning song "Viola" to pay homage to slain Civil Rights Martyr Viola Gregg Liuzzo. Michigan dignitaries and The Liuzzo family will attend a Viola Liuzzo statue unveiling at Viola Liuzzo Park in North Detroit Tuesday July 23rd at 11:00am. At the event, there will be remarks made by State representatives and the Liuzzo Family followed by a March around Viola Gregg Liuzzo Park. 

Garden State Philharmonic Chorus Hosts 2nd Annual Summer Sing

(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- If you’ve ever wanted to sing a choral masterwork with a group of experienced singers for one night only without rehearsing, you’re in luck. The Garden State Philharmonic Chorus will be hosting their 2nd Annual Summer Sing on Wednesday, August 7 at 7:30pm at the Jay & Linda Grunin Center for the Arts on the campus of Ocean County College.

OKAN and Charlie Sepulveda and The Turnaround To Perform In Princeton

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- Blue Curtain, presented in co-operation with the Princeton Recreation Department, wraps up its 2019 summer concert series on Saturday, July 27 with a double-bill featuring the Afro Cuban music of OKAN and Latin-Jazz legend Charlie Sepulveda and his ensemble The Turnaround. This free concert starts at 7:00pm at Pettoranello Gardens Amphitheater, Route 206 and Mountain Avenue.  The rain location is Princeton High School Performing Arts Center.
