Fans of the Dead will have another chance to see the band. Thanks to the success of the band's 2015 tour, Dead & Company will be hitting the road again in June. Locally, the band will have shows this June at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden and Citi Field in Flushing, NY. They will make their late night debut on Thursday, February 18 when the band performs on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC.
The tour begins on Friday, June 10 in Charlotte, North Carolina, before the band headlines Bonnaroo 2016 that weekend. The tour will also hit venues in Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, Connecticut, Colorado, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania before its scheduled conclusion with two shows at Boston's iconic Fenway Park on Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16.
Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir; singer/guitarist John Mayer; Allman Brothers' bassist Oteil Burbridge; and "Fare Thee Well" and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti will perform two sets of music drawing from the Dead's historic catalog of songs. A full listing of tour dates can be found below.
In October of 2015 the band took to the stage for their inaugural nationwide tour, kicking off with three sold-out concerts at the legendary Madison Square Garden and ending the year with two sold-out performances at the "Fabulous" Forum, and according to Billboard, the concerts are "magical."
