Featured Music Video: Heroes by David Bowie

Featured Music Video: Heroes by David BowieWe normally feature a music video by a New Jersey artist in this space, but with the passing of David Bowie we decided to honor him instead.  We found a poem by Michale H. Hanson to serve as a fitting tribute as well.

Bye Bye Bowie

by Michael H. Hanson

You took off thanks to ground control,

achieved fame with your plastic soul,

a herald for spiders from mars

and androgynous rock and roll.

A rebel and a diamond dog,

a cracked actor and cocaine snob,

reborn a young american

you settled in the Berlin fog.

A drummer boy with bright red shoes,

juggling goblin who hates to lose,

your avatar an elephant,

under pressure you danced the blues.

You fell to Earth with dignity

your life a song, vibrant and strong

a legend for eternity.

David Bowie, RIP (1947-2016)
