NOTE: Rescheduled to the snow storm
(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents a delightful musical production, featuring a hit score by Bob Marley (“One Love”) and based on the children’s book by his daughter, Cedella Marley, tells of young Ziggy, who is so terrified of hurricanes, mongooses and other things in his native Jamaica that he’s afraid to leave the house! "Bob Marley's Three Little Birds" comes to Newark on Sunday, January 24, 2016 3:00 PM at the Victoria Theater. Tickets range from $13-$25.
Based on a story for children by Cedella Marley with music & lyrics by Bob Marley, Three Little Birds was adapted for the stage by Michael J. Bobbitt. Arrangements, orchestrations, additional music and lyrics by John L. Cornelius, II.
Bob Marley’s songs are known the world over for their powerful messages of love, peace and harmony. Now a new generation can discover the joys of his music in Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds, a tale of triumph over anxiety, directed by Nick Olcott.
“With a jammin’ score woven from the songs of Bob Marley and buoyant design to match, the show flaunts such jubilant, tropical candy tones that the outside world looks drab in comparison.” (The Washington Post)
