(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College will present the Nebraska Theatre Caravan's production of the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol, on Sunday, December 13, at 2:00pm. The production, which brings Charles Dickens' timeless fable of redemption to life, is part of the Theatre's Major Artists Series.
Charles Jones' celebrated adaptation is rich with lively ensemble music and alive with color and movement. It's designed to tell this great and enduring tale in a manner that people of all ages will enjoy. Beautiful new arrangements and moving renditions of such holiday songs as "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Wassail, Wassail," "Good Christian Men Rejoice," "Away in a Manger," "Greensleeves," the "Boar's Head Carol" and many more are woven throughout the classic story of tight-fisted Ebenezer Scrooge and the beloved characters from Dickens' 1843 novel. The sumptuous holiday classic features a cast of 24 performers, live musicians, and Broadway-style scenery and costumes.
The New York Times called the production: "A spectacular holiday treat for the entire family."
