Centenary Stage Company's Dance Conservatory Returns In September

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) -- The professional Centenary Stage Company (CSC) is accepting enrollment into their Dance Conservatory courses for the fall semester. With professional instructors and schedules fit for working adults and teens, these programs are suitable for amateurs and professionals. The Conservatory of Dance provides the community with affordable, high-quality dance classes and is designed to introduce dancers to professionals who are currently working as choreographers, dancers and educators in dance and theatre at a collegiate level. Classes will run from September 3 - December 17.

Classes include Ballet I and II (Mon. 4PM-5:10PM), Yoga / Pilates (Tues. 4PM-5PM), Modern I - II (Tues. 5:30PM-6:40PM) and Zumba (Thurs 4PM-5PM). Classes are open to high school students through adults who have prior dance.  Class prices are $130.00 for 1 class per week, $195.00 for 2 classes per week, and $275.00 for 3 classes per week. Registration deadline is August 27.  YPW students receive a 50% discount on ALL classes.  Tuition is non-refundable.

The Conservatory of Dance is led by Centenary Theatre and Dance Professor Lea Antolini-Lid. Antolini-Lid received her BMA in classical voice and musical theatre from the University of the Arts, an MFA from Brandeis University, and is a Certified Yoga Instructor.  Erin Usawicz (Ballet I and II) received her training with Jose Mateo and Mary McKenzie-Thompson as a scholarship student at Ballet Theatre of Boston’s (now called Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theater) Young Dancer’s Program. She served as the company’s apprentice and then advanced to a corps de ballet member.  Hannah Rolfes (Modern I and II) has been a company member of moe-tion dance theater since 2007. She received a B.A. in Dance, Cum Laude, from the University of Richmond in Virginia. She has also studied with world-renowned artists including Chris Aiken, Angie Hauser, Irene Dowd, Paul Matteson, and Shonach Mirk-Robles.  Jennine Hamblin (Zumba and Hip Hop) is an alumna of Binghamton University where she studied dance for 4 years.  Studies there included Modern, Ballet, and Jazz techniques from Fosse, and Luigi. Jennine has trained in dance for the past 20 years in a variety of styles.
