(Morristown, NJ) -- This August, join the Morris Museum’s Bickford Theatre for a production of ‘The Addams Family.’ Produced by Theatre Next Door and starring high school and college age students, this magnificently macabre new musical will play from August 13 through August 15, 2015.
Created by ‘Jersey Boys’ authors Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, and Drama Desk Award winner Andrew Lippa, our story finds the Addams family put to the test when outsiders come to dinner. Living in their super-spooky mansion in Central Park, the family is led by the elegantly gaunt and seemingly undead Morticia and her ever-devoted husband Gomez. They are in turmoil because their daughter Wednesday, now eighteen, finds herself falling in love—a sensation that is unsettling for both her and her family of endearing misfits. When the teen invites her new boyfriend, Lucas Beineke, over with his “normal” family to get better acquainted with the Addams household, comic chaos ensues.
