(Newark, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center presents the 3rd Annual Family Fair at Theater Square at One Center Street (outside in front of NJPAC) in Newark, New Jersey, on Saturday, July 25, 2015 starting at 12:30pm, sponsored by the Horizon Foundation and Barnabas Health. Don’t miss this FREE outdoor celebration featuring music, dance, performances and interactive experiences for the entire family.
The professional artists that you are accustomed to seeing on-stage at NJPAC will come outside to participate in this fun-filled community day. At Family Fair, NJPAC’s Theater Square transforms into to an imaginative and magical arts festival where you will experience first-hand all types of talent with a diverse set of skills. You will have the ability to interact with artists from various disciplines through unique activities and classes.
This special FREE event will include stage performances by Mystic India, Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, young ballroom dancers from NJPAC’s Dancing Classrooms, Umoja Dance Company and Teaching Artists from the Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company. This is just a sampling of the hundreds of performances that take place on stage at NJPAC every season.
On July 25th, families will Salsa with Manny and participate in Yoga with the Newark Yoga Movement; you can learn Bollywood, West African dance, Jazz and Hip Hop Dancing; plus Zumba with Betty and more. Calling all music makers! Sing and bop to the beat while learning the basics of jazz in the Jazz Orff Music Playroom. Come play xylophones, drums, tambourines and shakers in this fun filled family jam. For young ones, there will be plenty of balloon makers and face painters, giveaways and a graffiti wall, a stilt-walker and so much more! PLUS, NJPAC will have special $10 and $20 ticket offers for more than 20 upcoming performances! This offer will only be available on-site at Family Fair from 12:30–4pm on July 25th, is non-transferable and can’t be combined with any other offer.
