Smithereens To Headline WNTI Stage 2015

(HACKETTSTOWN, NJ) --  WNTI Stage, Northwestern New Jersey's premier eclectic summer music festival, is back again in 2015 with a diverse roster of performing acts that are guaranteed to entertain music lovers of all persuasions. For the many festival-goers who have been eagerly anticipating this year's WNTI Stage, the long-awaited weekend comes even sooner, with this year's edition taking place in July, a month earlier than years past.

"For a variety of reasons we decided to move up this year's festival and going to July 17-19 is the perfect weekend," said Melanie Thiel, Development Manager for WNTI. "The earlier dates give us an opportunity to really impact the summer festival season in a big way."

Presented by the hugely popular radio station WNTI, in partnership with Kennedy Events Services, WNTI Stage, now in its fourth year, takes place at the Lions Pavilion on Route 46 in Knowlton Township and has become a weekend-long party for enthusiasts of the music festival scene. This year's event takes place Friday July 17 through Sunday July 19, and features an amazing variety of musical styles and interpretations, from folk to rock and everything in between, along with food and beverages, and some of the region's most interesting crafters and vendors.

The festival opens Friday night with two super acts, The Grand Slambovians and the Ed Palermo Band. The Ed Palermo Band, which plays several different genres in its makeup, will actually pay tribute to the music of Frank Zappa at WNTI Stage. Saturday night features national favorites The Smithereens, and Sunday is headlined by none other than the legendary Chubby Checker. Many other acts are in the line-up, with two stages filling every weekend minute. The full schedule can be found at www.wntistage.org.

Friday hours are 6-10 p.m., Saturday 12-10 p.m., and Sunday, 12-7 p.m. The charge for admittance is just $10 for Friday, $20 for Saturday, and $15 on Sunday. Children 12 and under free, and parking is free as well.

The food menu is as diverse as the music, with everything from seafood to vegetarian to American Classic food available. Vendors selling a variety of products from jewelry to funky tee-shirts will also be on hand.

Organizers only ask that you leave the coolers and pets at home.
