Footlighters Concludes Season With Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical

originally published: 04/22/2015

Footlighters Concludes Season With Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical(CINNAMINSON, NJ) -- Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical, a theatrical approach to the story of these two notorious outlaws, concludes Burlington County Footlighters' 77th season, with performances from May 1- 16, 2015.

At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes (and Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares). Their reckless behavior turned a thrilling adventure into a downward spiral, running from the law and resorting to robbery and murder to survive. Yet, their story of love, adventure and crime captured the attention of an entire country. This musical version with book by Ivan Menchell, lyrics by Don Black, and music by Frank Wildhorn features an eclectic score that combines blues, gospel and rockabilly music in telling the story of the most notorious couple of the 20th century.

Directed by Maple Shade resident Jillian Starr-Renbjor, collaborating with assistant director Sean Flaherty and musical director Sean Mehlbaum of Philadelphia, the cast includes Rachel Comenzo of Philadelphia as Bonnie Parker, Connor Twigg of Maple Shade as Clyde Barrow, Becky Moseley of Delran as Blanche Barrow, Brad Kenney of Moorestown as Buck Barrow, Gabrielle Affleck of Philadelphia as Emma Parker, Valerie Brothers of Maple Shade as Cumie Barrow and Governor Ferguson, Brian Blanks of Marlton as Henry Barrow and Frank Hamer, DJ Hedgepath of Delran as Ted Hinton, Michael Melvin of Maple Shade as the Preacher, Dave Pallas of Haddon Heights as Bob Alcorn, Matthew Maerten of Maple Shade as Sheriff Schimid, Tyler Conklin of Lumberton as Deputy Bud, Casey Grouser of Columbus as Stella, Alex Davis of Riverside as Eleanor, and Rachel Smith of Cinnaminson as Trish, with Mia Gambino (Marlton) and Emily Gulden (Tuckerton) as young Bonnie and Kayla Schaal (Maple Shade) and Samantha Dobson (Phoenixville Pa) as young Clyde. The ensemble includes Pat Frazer of Palmyra, Debbi Heckman of Maple Shade, Michelle Gambino of Marlton, Amanda Hoffman of Burlington, Santino Moffa of Maple Shade, Nicolette Polombo of Delran, and Julia Underwood of Maple Shade.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm; and Sundays at 2 pm at The Playhouse, 808 Pomona Road in Cinnaminson, NJ. General admission tickets are $18. For reservations or additional information, call 856-829-7144 or visit www.bcfootlighters.com.
