(CINNAMINSON, NJ) -- Bonnie & Clyde: The Musical, a theatrical approach to the story of these two notorious outlaws, concludes Burlington County Footlighters' 77th season, with performances from May 1- 16, 2015.
At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes (and Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares). Their reckless behavior turned a thrilling adventure into a downward spiral, running from the law and resorting to robbery and murder to survive. Yet, their story of love, adventure and crime captured the attention of an entire country. This musical version with book by Ivan Menchell, lyrics by Don Black, and music by Frank Wildhorn features an eclectic score that combines blues, gospel and rockabilly music in telling the story of the most notorious couple of the 20th century.
