(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- The Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University announces a new exhibition by local young artist Jennifer Blair entitled, “Organic Vibes.” The exhibit will be on display in The Atlantic City Gallery in The Noyes Arts Garage from March 12 through April 12. The Arts Garage is open Wednesday through Sunday, from 11am until 6pm.
Blair got her first taste of creating art as a young child. However, it wasn’t until attending a high school art class that she discovered her natural talent. With paint brush in hand, the passion for creating art kicked in. Having grown up in Northfield, Blair is definitely a Jersey Girl. Her love of the shore, along with experiencing the beach culture, constantly inspires her creativity.
Blair finds inspiration from the special flavor of the Jersey Shore community, with its bold colors and vibrant beach scenes. She is especially drawn to the style of artist Drew Brophy, which shows clearly through her bold and whimsical paintings.
In addition to her original designs and fine art prints, Blair also creates commission work. Her murals can be found around the shore area in both public spaces and private residences. If you are ever at Kammerman’s Marina, by the Golden Nugget Casino, look for a colorful mural by Blair.
Blair is a recent graduate of Stockton University, where she majored in Public Health; next she plans to attend graduate school to pursue a career in occupational therapy. She has not as yet figured out how she is going to combine her art with her career in therapy, but is keeping that idea in mind. Although Blair did not study art at Stockton, while in Italy she did have the opportunity to study painting at the American University of Rome.
Blair also has a decorative clothing line called “The Buddha Haze." “The Buddha Haze” collection consists of hoodies, tank tops, and t-shirts. The idea was derived from her popular and in demand Buddha paintings. As with her other specialty paintings she does special request work on surfboards, guitars, skateboards, etc. You can find more about Blair’s work by visiting her website at www.jennb126.wix.com/jblacreations or www.jblacreations.webstarts.com
