David Porfirio Presents Oriental Passion Art Show

David Porfirio Presents Oriental Passion Art Show(New York, NY) -- Artist David Porfirio is proud to announce, Oriental Passion,  a new exhibit of his work at Tribal Dance of Long Island in East Northport Long Island.  The paintings in Oriental Passion are inspired and influenced by Middle Eastern art and culture. Porforio's vision is the merging of American and Middle Eastern culture through art.  Oriental Passion will open on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 6:30 pm and continue through April 21, 2015.  Oriental Passion will feature oil, acrylic and pastel works.  The opening night event will also feature a performance by the Tribal Dance of Long Island's dance company, Wandering Earth.         

David Porfirio is a multi-medium artist, composer and musical virtuoso from New Jersey. His illustrations and paintings include works in acrylics, oil, pastels and chacoal.  The subjects of his paintings range from rock music icons, celebrities, entertainment figures, historical events, world cultures and portaits.  David is also an accomplished graphic designer and photographer.  His artistic philosophy is simple: Creativity Without Boundaries.  His influences include J.M.W Turner , Vincent Van Gogh , Salvador Dali , Leroy Nieman , Edvard Munch , Frida Kahlo , Claude Monet , Amadeo Modigiliani , Ravi Varma  and Edward Hopper. David's work has been featured in exhibits all over New York including the Pleides Gallery in Chelsea, the Empire Hotel and a two month exhibition at The Jade Eatery in Forest Hills. David started off as a musician and drawn to visual arts to create visuals as companion pieces to his music.

Tribal Dance Long Island and Caravan Connection New York is a cultural and performing arts studio dedicated to celebrating life through culture, music, dance, art, personal empowerment and creative whimsy.  Focused on world arts such as Middle Eastern Belly Dance and Drumming, Tribal Fusion Belly Dance, Bollywood and Indian Dance, Reiki Healings Arts, American Classic Burlesque, and local artists, TDLI is a hub of artistic, intellectual, esoteric and cultural art centered on the concept of "Tribe" or Community.  Website: www.caravanconnectionnewyork.com
