(Englewood, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey presents Jay Leno Thursday April 9th 2015 at 8PM. Purchase tickets to see this late night comedic legend at www.ticketmaster.com or Box Office at 201.227.1030.
For more than two decades, Jay Leno's performances have never failed to amuse his audiences, regardless of their age or station, and because of which, he has become one of the most loved stand-up comedians—with a tongue-in-cheek humor that is warm, relatable, and playfully pokes fun at pop culture and current events.
Beginning his stand-up career while in college, Leno moved to Los Angeles and wrote for television. He became guest host of The Tonight Show in 1987 and—when Johnny Carson retired in 1992—NBC chose Leno as his replacement. After almost 25 years and an Emmy later, Leno retired from the show. However, he never stopped his stand-up comedy appearances and is still the comedic genius that warmed the hearts of America.
Jay Leno also won an Emmy award for his show, Jay Leno's Garage, a television show about his well-known classic car collection. Custom-built from the ground up, the garage is staffed by a crack team of mechanical wizards, who can fix, restore or customize just about anything. Leno and his team have a series of unique automotive adventures every week.
Leno is well known for his support of charitable organizations, most notably auctioning his Fiat 500 which was sold for $385,000 with all the proceeds going to a charity that helps wounded war veterans recover by providing them temporary housing.
