originally published: 01/26/2015 (LAKE HOPATCONG, NJ) -- Horror Happens Productions in partnership with Jefferson Highlights & Women in Horror 2015 (Womeninhorrormonth.com) are proud to present a night of WOMEN IN HORROR from different perspectives, parts of the world and paths brought together as part of February's Horror Happens Film Showcase event. Six hours of independent films, including several premieres, will be screened on Saturday, February 14 from 3pm to 9pm at Camp Jefferson Theatre in Lake Hopatcong, NJ.

Starting at 3 PM with a block of 12 short films, each project will vary in storytelling, independent sensibilities and perspective of women filmmakers, writers and performers. Coming from around the world, the dozen short films will feature filmmakers and performers handling storytelling themes about the undead, home invasion, body horror, international legends, crimes gone wrong, relationships and dark psychology all through the female eye and mind! The two feature films will start at 6 PM encompassing both horror and the thriller style of films. Horror Happens is proud to screen the tension laced, home invasion horror film BERKSHIRE COUNTY by talented filmmaker Audrey Cummings. The closing night feature will come from the film making duo DPYX and their crime thriller NOBODY CAN COOL playing at 7:30 PM. Tickets can only be purchased the day of the event via cash for $10.00 each (there are no online sales). A portion of the ticket sales will go to the non-profit of Jefferson Highlights TV and Amphitheatre. Refreshments will be available. 18 & OVER RECOMMENDED due to horror elements and no alcohol please.

Sponsored by Diabolique Magazine, the doors open at 2:30 PM sharp with a 3:00 PM start time on the intimate screen at the Camp Jefferson Theatre on the grounds of Camp Jefferson 81 Weldon Rd, Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey (right off of route 80 at exit 34 then near five miles down Route 15 towards Sparta). The film showcase will be hosted by the Horror Happens Radio Show (Heard weekly on Tuesday at 4 PM EST on HomeGrownRadioNJ.org).
