
Recorded and released in 1983, She's So Unusual, features some of Lauper's most well-known songs and radio favorites including "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," "Time After Time," "She Bop," "Money Changes Everything," and "All Through the Night." She's So Unusual cemented her place in musical history as the first female artist to have four Top 10 singles on a debut album. The release went on to sell over 16 million copies worldwide and won Lauper a Grammy Award for Best New Artist.

The iconic performer has been celebrating a creative renaissance as of late. Lauper guest stars on the FOX TV show "Bones," NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice," and stars in her own We TV docu-series, "Cyndi Lauper: Still So Unusual." Last Fall she released her New York Times Best Selling autobiography, "Cyndi Lauper: A Memoir."
On Broadway, Cyndi won great accolades with her 2006 stage debut as Jenny in The Threepenny Opera and most recently composed the music and lyrics for the highly anticipated Broadway adaption of the British film Kinky Boots, which opened in April 2013 to critical acclaim. Kinky Boots brings together an impressive team: Cyndi, legendary producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig, four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (who wrote the book) and venerable director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell.
